Public Transport

And people wonder why buses are not popular.

A recent survy highlighted (from Census 2006) that people living along the LUAS route now use that more often than cars and that people are using cars more than buses elsewhere.

Hardly surprising - I got on a bus in Knocklyon last Sunday to travel 10kms to Dublin city centre.

I was meeting someone at 12.30pm - I got the bus at 11.40am - plenty of time.

12.15 pm I had made it to Rathgar, the bus was hot and swaety and I was in no way comfortable that I would make it.

I got out and made it in a taxi in less than 10 minutes - acceoted there was increased traffic because of vintage car rally, but really!
