It doesn't matter that Fianna Fail kicked her out (twice - it's better than Lanigan's Ball) - Bertie wants her back in agin!
The brass neck effrontery that everyone is so shocked about - is what gets me - it's Ireland focks.
We may have the second most expensive capital in the world, we may be wealthier than ever before, we may want everything now and be euro embracing, technilogcal funky and self confident to the point of arrogance, but we have still to get away from the world of clientelism.
Remember that the definition of politics is ' marked by artful prudence, expedience, and shrewdness' and nowhere else moreso than Ireland.
The fact that she appealed her case twice - cost umpteen million to the public broadcaster and ironically the people she serves just goes to show that how we have always been honest with ourselves as a nation anyway.
She is an elected representative after all.

At last iTunes has proved useful
Whilst I would be an exponent of the long tail , I haven't really gone to town on it personally - until this morning.
For years I have been thinking on and off about getting classical gas - nothing to do with raw onions, but the Masn Williams version of it.
And this morning I bought it on iTunes, I know I have had friends say 'go through the record store, write down your favourite tracks and buy them separately on iTunes' - me I usually prefer the whole album, but if you listened to some of the stuff on the same album of Classical Gas - oh boy , that must have been Classical Gas back then Mason.
However, you will always be in my mind for those 3 minutes and one second of bliss(I have taken away 5 seconds for the trumpet interplay midsong).

Weather
I just love the soft days in Ireland - what could be better than to have a blissfully rainy day in the middle of summer on Midsummers Day.

Well I have to say that poor old PD's their honestly (McDowell) and their greed (Parlon) brought them down.
They should have either stayed quiet about Bertie or pulled out.
But Poor Ol Michael had to call a journo (as he didn't trust Bertie) and Parlon was scared he would lose votes if they pulled away from Fianna Fail.
Well boyos it happened anyway - Bertie has more to answer for but don't they all love him?
He should stand for adoption or change his name to Haughey - as he will have the same legacy.
So bring on BIFFO and let's get back to old politics.
