Only this time lacking in originality ... Our Dear Kevin is going on about the number of 'big' houses going up around Galway and what little taste the Irish have (he'll be having a go at the flowers next).
This was first covered by Frank MacDonald in the Irish Times 20+ years ago with his'bugalow bliss' and ably put down by good old PJ Drudy - these are homes of people - it's their land and if in fairness Kev it looks a little gargantuan currently I am sure when Powerscourt was first built it was a god awful eyesore(I must be a heretic) but has since grown into a place of beauty!
Our Kev feels so strongly that the water basin will be affected gawd help us! Imagine whatt it must have been like when there were 8 million of us living on the ould sod - there must must have been sh**te everywhere!
And how about the poor farmers with their nitrates and the water basin(am I turning into a mini-me Kev? - I'll stop then)
Anyway I still think if anyone can turn into a rant about town Myers we all could be earing €200k pa, so let's start a campaign...
Anyone interested please send your CV's into Declan Carlisle , HR Director of Independent Newspapers and see if who can get a job first.
Enough I am turning grumpy.
